The kindergarten year:
Our Pop-Up Christmas Market:
Our favourite holiday tradition, held right here at our house and courtyard. Between the twinkling lights, cozy food, and warm mugs of punch and mulled wine, the atmosphere is truly magical. Even Samichlaus (St. Nicholas) makes an appearance. A magical evening for a good cause.
The best part? Every cent we make goes directly to a charity that supports children in need. Each year, a member of our team gets to pick a cause that’s close to their heart, so we can give back as a community.
Our Christmas Musical
The Thursday before we break for the holidays is also a highlight.We spend the morning at the Breitisaal, where the children take to the stage for a festive musical—a morning overflowing with songs, dancing, and pure holiday joy.
After the show, we all get together for a big potluck buffet where everyone brings a dish to share. It’s the perfect way to celebrate as a family before we say our “Merry Christmases” and head off for the holidays.
Summer Party & Graduation
Before we head off for the summer break, we all get together to celebrate the end of the kindergarten year. It’s a day centred around the children—complete with a bouncy castle, face painting, plenty of ice cream, and lots of laughter.
We keep lunch simple and collaborative: you bring whatever you’d like to grill (meat, veggie, or otherwise), and we’ll fire up the BBQ and provide the salads and drinks.
After we’ve eaten, we hold a special ceremony for the children who are moving on to primary school. It’s always a bittersweet moment as we host our “Meadows Graduation” to send them off on their next big adventure.
